In pursuit of my MA in Graphic Design in the 2022 -2023, prior to transferring to the MFA program, I created a magazine to learn more about how to communicate sustainable fashion through editorial design. In this project I styled the models in thrifted or handmade clothing then photographed them. Concurrently, I created the branding for this company and made a style guide to follow. Next, I wrote articles and found relevant research online. I put all of this together to create this magazine. Upon finishing it, I discovered that it could be a much bigger story whether that is social media, website design, providing workshops on sustainable fashion, or expanding it to other sectors of sustainability. I am eager to continue this story and learn more about design and sustainability in the next school year in my MFA program.
