The Fashion Show at Iowa State University is the largest student run fashion show in America. 2021's theme was Metamorphosis and it was the first year the show took place outdoors. Metamorphosis was the theme because 2021 was all about change and how we can adapt to a new world. I was on the Set Design team with 12 other student designers. Together we brainstormed, collaborated, conceptualized, designed and constructed 54 triangles ranging from 12 to 16 feet. Together we transformed a beautiful garden into a COVID safe Fashion Show. Along with the triangles we created the seating pods so they were safe for those watching the show and arranged the lighting in appropriate spots. The 2021 Fashion Show exceeded its fundraising goal by $4,000 equaling $34,000. The money raised was awarded to current and incoming students in a variety of scholarships.
