Assignment One in my graduate graphic design studio was to take three photos for each category, these included, something that makes you happy, something that makes you think of home, something outside, something in a grocery store, etc. There were 18 different categories equaling 54 photos. After presenting the photographs we were told the next part of the assignment was to connect the essence of the 54 photos in any format of our choosing. I made a short film that included narration from some of my writing given by my friends from my undergraduate degree. This video represents what it feels like to still be in the town where you found yourself and you loved yet you feel stuck, desperately wanting to move forward.
